In our recent edition we have started a meeting of Biomedical Equipment Technicians (BMETs) from around 30 Hospitals of Odisha at 'Odisha Medical Devices Expo' which we feel necessary to share practical knowledge, provide training, network with peers, and assess new equipment that can improve hospital maintenance and patient care.
In this coming edition we are continuing the BMET meet and trying to engage the BMET from more number of hospitals of Odisha. BMETs can see the latest innovations, discuss maintenance challenges and solutions, receive training from manufacturers, and build professional connections, all of which are crucial for keeping medical devices functional and advancing their skills.
Receive OEM Training: BMETs can get specialized, hands-on training directly from the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) on the operation and maintenance of new devices. Learn New Techniques: Exhibitions offer sessions where BMETs can learn new repair, calibration, and testing techniques, improving their overall skill set.
Peer-to-Peer Learning: BMETs can exchange practical information, discuss challenges faced in their facilities, and find solutions from experienced colleagues. Build Professional Connections: These meetings allow BMETs to build a professional network, which is valuable for future collaboration and support.
Evaluate Latest Innovations: BMETs can directly interact with and assess the functionality and maintenance requirements of new medical equipment being showcased. Identify Future Needs: By understanding the capabilities of new devices, BMETs and their facilities can better plan for future upgrades and technology investments.
Understand Equipment History: In-house technical staff can gain familiarity with new equipment and record crucial "dos and don'ts" in maintenance logs, which is essential for proper management. Support for Maintenance Programs: The knowledge and connections gained can help improve a facility's overall medical equipment management and maintenance program, leading to better equipment functionality and reduced downtime.
Opportunities for Advancement: Staying current with new technologies and having a strong professional network can open doors for career advancement for BMETs.
In our recent edition of Odisha Medical Devices Expo, we have started a meeting of the dealer and distributor association which we feel necessary at a medical exhibition to foster networking, promote business growth by identifying new products and expanding distribution networks, facilitate knowledge sharing on industry trends and regulations, strengthen relationships between manufacturers and distributors, and discuss common challenges and opportunities in the evolving healthcare landscape.
The exhibition provides a platform to connect with key industry players, other dealers & distributors, and potential new suppliers and partners, building a stronger professional network.
Distributors can meet with manufacturers to expand their product portfolios, source new products to supply in this region, and discover potential new markets.
A meeting at an exhibition allows distributors to stay informed about the latest digital technologies, new approaches shaping healthcare, and emerging market needs, which can inform their purchasing decisions.
Distributors can identify and evaluate new medical devices and solutions to add to their offerings, potentially helping them gain a competitive advantage.
The event offers a valuable opportunity to build trust and enhance long-term collaboration between dealers and manufacturers, fostering a mutually beneficial business relationship.
A centralized meeting encourages a shared understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the healthcare supply chain, encouraging collective solutions and growth.
Meetings can focus on common interests, such as regulatory requirements for medical devices or logistics, enabling the association to address these with manufacturers and government bodies which will be helpful in long run.
Distributors and their associations can discuss and influence the adoption of new standards and best practices in the distribution of medical products.
In essence, a meeting of the dealer and distributor association at a medical exhibition serves as a crucial hub for business development, networking, and strategic alignment within the dynamic healthcare sector.
